The Practice
TWO (The_Work_Of) Architects is a design intensive architecture practice located in Sarasota, Florida. Our work focuses on sustainable design solutions that are responsive to its site and rooted in a collaborative process with our clients. Although we specialize in both residential and private commercial projects, we are always looking for new opportunities and design challenges.
Our Process
As a small practice, our mission is to provide a boutique experience: a client-driven process that provides clarity at every step of the way, and integrates client feedback with the iterative design progression. We begin each project by translating the programmatic goals into a concept diagram, tailored to the specific site and client. Each diagram guides the project through to completion, and results in spaces that are a quiet joy to live or work in. When experiencing a completed project of ours, we want you to feel deeply that this is the work of architects.
David Morrison, AIA, NCARB
With over eight years of experience at award-winning architecture and design+build firms in Sarasota, David brings a clarity about constructability to the design process alongside his high expectations for excellence in context-responsive design. He is communicative and direct, invested in the client experience of a TWO project, and in endless pursuit of the clear concept diagram that survives through to construction. He earned his Masters of Architecture at the University of South Florida in 2014, is a licensed architect in the state of Florida, and has completed numerous high-end custom residential and commercial projects as both the Project Architect/Manager (design) and On-Site Superintendent (build).
Originally from Michigan, David is an avid hockey fan. He lives in Arlington Park with his wife, Hannah, and feels strongly about contributing good design to the community in which he lives.
